I was just wondering if there is a program in place to communicate with
students and/or faculty members at the local colleges/universities in
the Computer Science field regarding Ubuntu. I was thinking that this
may be a good way to get a lot of up and coming talent working with and
on Ubuntu.

Jeremy,

There isn't, at least directly associated with the LoCo Team. That
has been talked about as something we should be doing, but we haven't
had anybody stand up and take on the challenge yet.

I think a good way to start would just be to coordinate with the LUGs
at the Universities/Colleges (most have one, or one for the city).

A way to do that would be getting some of the members of the LoCo who
are also members of the University LUGs to think about creative ways
we can work together on a project. Of course, we should all think
about it and come up with ideas.

But...
No, we don't right now, and Yes we should/have talked about it before.

Come to the next IRC meeting (this Sunday at 7pm in #ubuntu-us-mi on
Freenode) and we can talk about it.

Best,

greg
