Yes, Penguicon, which is the weekend of April 30th. There will be a party
there one of the nights. We need to nail down when and where.

Penguiconers: Where and When should our party be?

There was also discussion of people having a party on the west side; I
don't know what the status is of that.

It was discussed in teh bug jam that Penguicon would make the most sense. So, how are decisions like this decided?

Top secret meetings of the illuminati. Also, monthly IRC meetings
which are posted to our Google Calendar.

I have set up a party room for the MDLUG.ORG and SEMCO.ORG groups. Perhaps we could have the party there.

I can't commit to penguicon, and I'm very sad to say that, but if something
was going to happen on the west side I would be more able to attend.

Work, college, and family just won't let me get away.

I believe what is meant is Grand Rapids and surrounding cities. When I lived
in GR I drove down for a release party near AA, its a long haul that not
many people are likely going to make causal get togethers. I don't think
there is a heavy group of Linux advocates in GR, however there was a
programming shop called 'atomic object' if I remember that seemed to have a
couple enthusiasts.

I had intentions of settling on the West side of Michigan and trying to
plant the seeds of a ubuntu local team.

The west side of the state; more specifically the Grand Rapids/Holland
area. It's been kind of hectic for me the last couple of weeks, but I
guarantee we will have some sort of release party over here.

I could potentially attend or host something (Zeeland) on Friday the 30th.
