Tony / Clay
Thanks for getting back. I dont know if you want me to respond here on
the list with what I have or email you directly.
Here is a rundown of the issues that I am having.
1. Channel scanning on qam64 qam256 seems to work but it drops audio
channels over the video channels. ( channel mapping) I can get the
qam256 channels ok (as these are mostly the locals) (qam64 is another
story)
2. Since I am having issues with the qams would it be better to try to
create a channels.conf file? (not sure how I would do this) Lots of
people creating them but I haven't found much on how to do it or what
the format would look like.
3. I have tried to use w_scan but the response that I got back from
the original dev that wrote it he states that qam64 isnt supported
yet.
4. It seems that everytime I do a scan the program seems to report
that there are conflicting channels and I have to add them manually or
use the suggested channel number, (which I think is a complete pile of
poo-poo)
Current version of Mythbuntu is 9.10 running mythtv .23 latest version
of weekly build of trunk
Using Schedules Direct
As a side note the channel scanning didn't work very well in .22
either for me thats why I upgraded to .23
Other item is that I am not using Comcast or Charter. I am using TVC,
Small outfit right here in Lennon.
Is there a blindscan tool that I could use that might help with this
that anyone knows of?
Let me know if these questions are a little to much for the list and
we can email directly.
Thanks!

Hi There.
I was just wondering if anyone on this mailing list is using mythtv or
Mythbuntu?
I just wanted to see if there was someone that I could touch base with
while I try to get my system up and going. I know I can hit the
mythbuntu mailing list ( have tried that once to many times i think
because I am no longer getting responses.) (or maybe I just asked the
"wrong" questions.
Thanks!
